That kind of grin can ONLY come from good times with a Mistress!!

Looky there: Its BruceW on rope...!

All this during a 20 hour "Rope Rescue 1" course Fri, Sat & Sun, by Rescue Northwest.
Of the 12 SAR Types there, we counted a Mistress, a couple ASH's, a Jack,
3 Ratweilers, a Camp Tramp and a Warden or two...

River 7 doing that Rigging Thing:

My Ratweiler and I at the rope ascending station:

BruceW supports the 'patient' as the stokes litter is moved into postion (notice his Jack):

Attending the stokes litter during a steep-angle raising can make you cry like a girl :o ...

Looks easy, huh?

Anyway, good times - even though we almost died  !!

WOW! Cool stuff!!

Even with the "we almost died" part, it still looks like a blast!

Nope it sure doesn't look easy:thumbup:. All that rope, knots, Kalibiners, and thingies get me confused very easily. :D

Seriously, that is a whole lot of work to transport a full grown person up a steep incline. I have a great deal of respect for the work that you guys do.

I tried to pull a 80lb deer up a tiny slope with a friend once. We both cried like girls. No wonder the guys here are starting to call me Banessa :o

Thats bamby  My dogs weigh that much,When they have spots on them,The spots dont mean there targets to aim for :D But at 80lbs,your almost carrying you own weight:D

HA! No $#!T? I've always thought that spots meant target :o Yeah, Akita weights almost as much as I do ;)

Great pics as always! But where is your awesome modified HHFSH?

... But where is your awesome modified HHFSH?

Waitin' for it to get back from the Shop; hideous having to use *only* a Ratweiler  ...

Awesome!
so was this just a class you took or was it part of a course for a larger goal of your?
search and rescue?

This was a specific class (20 hr), which is part of our on-going effort to be prepared for the
chaos (Chief Has Arrived On Scene) of SAR missions  .

Never easy, and never ever done. Training, training, training...!!

You know, if he'd used the Mistress to chop off the "patient's" arms and legs, that load would have been a lot lighter going back up the hill.

:p

Oh jeeze Ban--now you've done it;)

I wasn't even there and it gets me all worked up:D

On a partially different note--

As far as I am concerned Skunk gets a big  and as usual Amy-O rocks! :)
