Duplicate a Theater Knife

I have a theater made knife my father carried in WWII. The knife was apparently (reportedly) made by my uncle while he was on USS ENTERPRISE CV6 (aircraft type rate) during the war.

The knife is sturdy and and has been used at times over the years while hunting.

I'd like to have a duplicate of this knife, perhaps two. These would be working knives same as the original. I feel the need to put the original away for my son and his children.

I'm after quality and as near a duplicate as possible, including the sheath (minus the stainless steel band added in the 1960's).

I'm seeking recommendations as to a craftsman to do this.

Welcome to bladeforums

I reccommend you check out the makers forum Here

Look at some of the work that the do. Find a couple that you like. then try contacting them to see it they'd be interested in doing it. I doubt you'd find any shortage of takers.
