"arousal"???

OK, I guess I should've figured that out, but seeing "arousal" was just wierd...

DuraCoat is great stuff and can be applied to a large variety of metals and polymer/plastics for a permanent coating. It is best to let it cure for the entire 3-6 weeks as recommended, but most people can't wait and give it a bake in the oven to finish. You will need to remove all oils and then rough-up your surfaces with 320 grit paper to help the Coat adhere & properly cure.

It is best if you already know your way around an airbrush but you can use their new sprayer sets. It is up to you to be able to apply thin even spray coats for best results.

You can also take a look a Gun-Kote, which comes in spray cans for easier application. This stuff will need to be baked in an oven for it to cure.

As with any coating material, your use will determine how it will wear, and all coatings will wear.

The boss hired a guy to DuraCoat guns. He screwed up on a revolver frame and it took him 1/2 hour of bead blasting to get that stuff off.

Another guy came into the shop awhile with a 1911 slide that he sprayed with Gun-Kote. He got an eyelash embedded in the finish. He tried
sanding it off and didn't get very far. he used our bead blaster and it took him awhile ot get down to bare metal.

It's tough stuff, but I don't know how well it will hold up on a knife.
