Durability of CF Scales?

One of the things I like about FRN scales is that they wear well when sharing a pocket with keys, change and a flashlight.

I just got a CF/ZDP Caly3, and I'm wondering how those CF scales will hold up to the daily abuse of my pocket. I'm less concerned about purely cosmetic issues than I am about potential splintering of the CF.

Does anyone have any experiences with this?

(And, no, I'm simply not going to dedicate a pocket for the Caly3. I've already got a pocket reserved for my iPhone, so everything else has to live in the other pocket.)

I carried a Sage 1 for about 2 months daily, and no issues with splintering or chipping. I'd imagine it'd take quite the impact in your pocket to wreck a CF scale. Your leg would probably be worse off than whatever happened to the knife.

CF is tough. My Sage 1 CF scales look brand new after a year of EDC carry. Certainly tougher than FRN. I wouldn't give it a second thought.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll just drop it in my pocket and see what happens.
