Looking to try some Giraffe bone in a drop point Hunter. Just wondering what are your experiences on user knives and how it holds up to moisture, temp changes, and wear and tear? I love the looks of it and really want to try it.

Also any other hints as far as the best ways to work with it. Abrasives and such.

Thanks Guys!

Bone, is usually a very stable handle material. I said usually because if you want to work with the inside pourus part it can be just the opposite. Pourus bone is sometimes sold when mammoth bone is being offered.
The usual type of belts works well but with with say one size more course in grit.

Stabilized giraffe bone is very durable. It is a really hard bone. One of the densest IIRC.
