So last hunting season, I took a cousin out hunting with me and my uncle, at the ripe old age of thirteen, he got his first kill, a nice one at that! Anyway, he tried skinning the deer and BROKE MY PRECIOUS KNIFE! But its alright, because I get to buy a new one now. but, I also want to get one for him, kinda as a congratultions present on his first kill. For me, a seventeen year old, I've been looking at a Condor Rodan, just for the fact I've heard they're straight tanks, and I won't only be using this for hunting, we camp alot in the mountains too. So that's for me, what do you reccommend for him? I need something around as expensive as the rodan, because I've only been supplied $65.00 for the two of us, but I'll end up using some of my own money to get a canteen for my camping gear that I carry in a backpack. Preferably it meets the following criteria:
Me and Cousin:
Able to be used and abused
Preferably a darker blade(sensitive eyes for both of us, runs in our family)
Max: 35.00 bucks
Fixed Blade
Full Tang  :)
Maximum 5 1/2 inch Blade

Thanks Y'all!!! :)

Your max price left your options severely hampered. One thing that can help is the fact that you can put a patina on carbon steel blades. With that said, you can get something like a Condor Bushlore. Low price, damn near indestructible, and they either come with a coating or can be patina'd.
