Duracoated Blades?

Anyone have any experience with Duracoating Blades? How does it wear? Tis the season to Duracoat some goodies and I'm wondering if it would be worth coating a couple of blades.

Make sure you degrease the blades carefully. Bead blasting will help the 'coat stay on better. It'll stay on even better if you parkerized it before 'coating it.

It'll still wear like anything else you paint onto your blade.

If you want something more durable, you'll need to bond something to the steel like hard chrome.

Thanks CWL. I'm aware that proper prep is the best start for metal finishes. I'm just curious how durable Duracoat is. Powder coating is my second option.
