Well, based on a suggestion from Stacy and reading in the recent dust collection thread I decided to change my setup around some. I moved it from center of room where the only dust collection was below the platen to the wall. There I took Stacy's suggestion about adding a collection point behind the drive wheel. It does good. The funnel at back has the aluminum bracket at bottom so it can easy be moved to the SGA for collecting grinding dust.

We'll see how this works - if good then I'll clean things up a bit.

That's an excellent idea - not sure why I didn't think of it since I've had to dig a few things out over the last few months. Easy to do and I've got the wire mesh available. Thanks.

I use a square stainless mesh strainer grate with 1/4" mesh. You can find suitable grates online made for shower floor drains. They are called hair catchers. Prices run the gamut, but you can get one on Amazon for $6 with free shipping. Of course, plain old hardware cloth works fine, too.

I'll look at that, know me and my "cheapskate" mindset I'll use 1/4" hardware cloth which I've got on hand :)

Here's what I wound up doing - the aluminum plate is to prevent the plastic from melting with heavy grinding.
