I barbecue and never use a knife except for normal prep work. The tools I use in barbecuing are tongs, spatula and rarely a fork.

How do you use this knife in your barbecue? What about the design makes it a "barbecue knife?"

Thanks.

You do a fine job....great Damascus, fit/finish, leather, and the way you do those ferrules with the Damascus really sets things off....pleasantly draws the eye.

brownshoe : well .. i dont know how you are doing a BBq but i buy some nice meat, some bread, some vegetables and so.. i invite some friends and we drink bear. And im preparing all the things to put them on charcoal .. that mean .. cutting meat to steaks , cutting onions , cutting bread, cutting potatoes and tomatoes and any other vegetables :) When steaks are ready sometimes someone asks me for smaller piece so i cut the steak to smaller pieces so anyone can have any meat he wants :) So mainly i use this knife at BBQ parties for cutting :) Well maybe someone buys some hamburgers or something like that prepared directly from butchers but i do not do it like that .. maybe it is different in others countries well we do our BBQs like this .

and yea .. it is only some kind of kitchen knife for the design .. i just call it BBQ because this one was a gift ment as BBQ knife .. :) thats all :)

Spectacular sir! I love all of it but the handle figuring and shaping is what i like best.

Awesome, great all around work. I don't think I have seen a knife of yours that I don't like. Very nice.

Thanks. I went to a World Archery tournament and the archers from Mongolia bbq-ed goat on a spit over a bed of coals. They used a long knife to carve off what was done over a long period of time.

Often me and my buddies never get the meat to the plate, we just cut some up and eat right off the board. A knife like this would make sure I didn't have to do all the cutting myself :)
I love that ferrule the way the pattern layed out is perfect. I'd invite you to my bbq's for sure
