DVD editing software ?

is there software out there for PC that lets me watch a movie, then freeze the movie and begin "cutting it" then play the movie to the point i want to "end the clip"....then save the clip on the hard drive for later viewing? this might include protected and unprotected DVD's.

You need some software that will allow you to save the movie to you hard drive. You then need software that will allow you to pull clips and splice it all together.

For copying to your HD use DVD Shrink. Just Google it.

I don't know what software you'd use to compile it. Hoefully someone will chime in.

VirtualDub www.virtualdub.org may do the editing part.

I've used it to convert movies from my digital camera to divx. Looks like it has some editing features. Think you'll need something else to rip it off the dvd.
