My grandson got to messing with my son's computer and horked up his dvd drive. (i.e. the drive wouldn't close...) I took the drive out and was going to swap it with the one from my old computer (whoo hoo, my new computer is here! :D:thumbup: ) Only thing is, the old one is a Sata Drive and the power/data cords don't match up.

My question - can I buy any Sata DVD/RW to replace it and will the connections match up?

Pretty much, yes, those are standardized. Practically any SATA DVD/RW drive can work with any SATA-equipped motherboard. You may have to re-install the DVD-RW software package.

Here's the DVD-RW drive I used last year for Wife's computer build: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106335
And here's the model I used in '09 for another build: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106334
