Well I have let it be known that the Dyad ( big & small) are some of my all time favorite Spyders. What is blowing me away at the present time is the unbelievable prices that they are going for on eBay. The last 2 big Dyads ( C-44P&S) have both gone for over $200. I even saw one of the small FRN models go for $102. It hasn't been that long ago that I got one of the C-44P&S big Dyads for a "buy it now" of $99. I carry that knife every day now :) . Who can explain this recent Dyad mania? Also it seems like everything with Bob Lum's name on it is beginning to explode as well. Forget stocks & bonds; Buy Spyders!! :)

I love my small dyad with the polished micart handles, and later bought the large model.

While it was fuctionally incredible, I did not like the shape of the plain edge blade as well as on the smaller knife. - this was just a cosmetic thing that turned me off.

I had it custom coated with diamond DLC by bodycote, but while on a kayak trip, gave it away.

Just for the price it is selling for now, I wish I had kept it.

I really have a bad habit of giving my knives away as gifts, the dyad, a walker, a salsa, a delica, as well as other brands, a lst, multitools, crkt, etc.

But I am like Johnny Appleseed, spreading the knife nuttyness to a whole bunch of new knifenuts.

Heck, I got a dyad just because it was on sale at Sierra Trading post. Definitely got a steal on the steel!!!! Excellent blade, though. The serrated blade would be excellent in a rescue/Paramedic type knife - very blunt, rounded tip, and very thin to get in tight places.
