I was looking at the latest issue of "Knives" magazine (the one with Wesley Snipes on the front), and I read in there that Spyderco was showing a Dyad with jigged bone handles at a show? I was just wondering if anyone could fill me in on when I might be able to see/purchase one of these things? Thanks:D

Hi Spyderjon. The model that we have is still a "concept model" at this time. That means that we're showing the piece at shows to get feedback. At this time, it is not scheduled for production. We'll have it at the Blade Show for more input.

Sal,
Thank you for answering my question. I certainly hope that this new concept model gets enough support to qualify for a production run (even if it were a limited edition). At the moment, I'm mostly into slipjoint knives, though my first real knife was a Spyderco Delica (which I unfortunately lost :( well before its time), and I'd love to have a quality spyderco lockback with that great slipjoint feel. By the by, I'm probably not going to get to any of the major blade shows, so if it's not asking too much could you possibly post a picture of this concept knife at your earliest convenience? That way at least I can dream about it if it never makes it to production. Thanks, again!

Hi Spyderjon. sorry for the slow reply, travelling.

I'm sorry to disappoint you but we prefer not to show photos of concept models. (a concept model is concept only. may or may not go into production). If a photo of the model is shown in public media, many think its already in production and call the sales dept with questions for which there are no answers. We'll make our decisions on the jigged bone lil dyad (mini dyad) and the mini dyad with jigged bone, after the Blade show. Possibility of production depends on ELU reaction at shows.
