Thanks. I may just leave the other one as is or go the oil route suggested.
The dye is called Saddle brown.

Your sheath looks excellent! The distressed leather has a good wicking ability and takes a mink oil really nice if you set it in the window on a sunny day or something like that, SnoSeal also works great. While I haven’t done a buck sheath, I’ve done others and also my wallet. They take on a nice aged look like Matt’s pic above. You can also buff them to give them a bit of a shine to add more depth.

like it better that way, than the original coloring..if it was that light tan color originally.

My distressed 110/112 pouches were originally lighter( not as light as the 119 sheaths) but have some how darkened a bit. I like them a bit darker brown.
