Hi all,
I was wondering what I might need and need to do in order to dye a 1000 denier knife sheath (specifically the BK 16 sheath from BK&T/Ka-Bar) from tan to black or OD/black?
I read up on dyeing, but I can't seem to find anything that has a definitive answer, I've seen some people say that Rit dye works the same way on cordura as it does on micarta, just simmer in a stainless pot with dye/water combo, while others have said that you need an acid dye or it won't stick, I think the only thing anyone agreed on was that if it has any treatments done to it, then it'll be hard to dye.
Any help or advice anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated.
