Dyeing delrin scales

I have a Uncle Henry dog leg trapper that I love. The scales are an off white imitation stag. I hoping I can dye them a darker amber/honey color. Anyone try this??

If you search in the Maintenance Forum, you will see several posts about dying plastic scales. Delrin takes dye quite nicely. The multi-toned Delrin scales were dyed.

I'm going to move this to the maintenance forum.

Rit dye does a fantastic job on Delrin. My local fabric store chain carries a ton of colors. I believe you can use software on Rits website to figure out which colors you'd need to mix in order to get what you need.

I followed most of the procedures listed in it (I skipped the oven cleaner) and got great results with bone handles using RIT liquid dyes I purchased at a local drug store.
