Dyeing North Fork G10 Scales

Has anyone tried dyeing the scales on a Benchmade North Fork (15031-1) to make them completely black? Obviously I am not a big fan of the original black and white scales.

Black should be easy. But be warned that I predict that it will never be 100% black. The white will get darker. Maybe even stopping at dark gray. If you're ok with dark gray, I say go for it.

With dark colors the longer you leave it in the darker it should get. So I wouldn't be afraid to let the scales simmer for two hours or more.
