Anybody try dying the brown g10 on the Southard any color other than black?

I know obviously it would have to be a dark color to take over the brown, but I'm curious whether different colored dyes mask the brown, or mix with it? I'd love to do one in a really deep blood red or maybe forest green, but I have a feeling the dye will mix with the brown color making pinpointing specific colors far more difficult.

Green will work quite well.

Wine/red will probably end up looking something like this.

I'm thinking about trying the wine on my brown Delica 4 FFG to see if turns out kind of like the Southard pictured.

Some people put vinegar and some dont. Some put the whole blade in the boiling pot and some just put the scales. Some use powder and some just use the liquid. Not sure what is the best profesional looking way.
