I just got this one and it occured to me that the pocket clip on the "sheath" is upside down. Are they all this way or was mine put together wrong?

The knife fits snug in the sheath, but if you clip in in your pocket or on your belt, the open end is down. If it ever loosens up, the knife would just drop out.

Is the clip removeable. Maybe you can take it out and turn it around.

Bingo! It pulled right out and I was able to put it back the other direction. It isn't as secure because the hump in the metal clip has no opening to fit into, but a little gorilla glue between the clip and the sheath should take care of that.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Plumb,

This is the knife in the previous thread that had wrong shade photo ?

You answered my questions in the original thread...thx 300Bucks

"Well, it came today and the comments about the lighting were dead on. The knive's handles are much more "charcoal" than the sellers pictures show. It is a nice knife and I like the leather case that came with it, but had I known the color would be so different that the picture, I doubt I'd gone for it. The charcoal just doesn't really work for me"

PS Yours is about mid-way on the dark / light color scale....

Well, it's starting to grow on me a little. Still not my favorite but I can live with it.

"..the pocket clip on the "sheath" is upside down."

Can I relate to that. I mail ordered a nice looking trucker/biker type wallet with a chain to hook on the belt. The chain hooks to the wrong end! When you take it out of your rear pocket, any credit cards, that are in the slots, , go on the ground. Soooo, I gotta put a new gromet on the other end so the cards sit down in a pocket and have to be lifted up out of the slot rather than pulled down out of the slot. Don't folks think when they design stuff?

That was planned so that when it falls out you have to buy another! :D

looks like we installed the clip on the sheath backwards. I'll chat with my shop. The Coloration of the scales will vary greatly due to the dye process of the Dymondwood. We color match as best we can to give both side a uniform look.

The scales on mine are a very good match.

ALright, just got done going over htis with my shop and it appears that the leather piece sewn onto the sheath was sewn in the wrong direction. Since we just install the clip and put it in the box, we did not notice the opening was down.

Send the sheath back in to my attention, and I'll get it swapped out unless you deem it 'collectable' :p

It's Ok. I took Longbow's advice and pulled it out and inserted it the other way. I put a glob of Gorilla glue between the clip and the sheath and it secure as all get out now.

Do you think it could turn out to be collectable like those famous old postage stamps that had the airplane in the middle printed upside down!

Thanks for the offer though.
