Dymondwood contains dyed Russian Birch hardwood veneers that are combined with resins, heat and pressure manufactured to create a panel that we typically stock in 2" thick. Dymondwood is known by its unique strength, durability, dimensional stability, weather and moisture resistance. This product is an offshore replacement due to the fire at Rutland Plywood years ago.
There are many suppliers of this material type. Not saying this is what Buck uses. The Russian source of Birch caught my eye.
"Dymondwood" was a registered trade mark of Rutland Plywood Corp. Rutland burnt down in 2014 and the word "Dymondwood" seems to have become a generic descriptor and no longer refers strictly to Rutland's product.
