I got my charcoal dymondwood 154cm 110 yesterday and it's a nice knife. My question is, does Buck make different dymondwood. I had (traded) a vantage avid with dymondwood that looked more like a plastic resin and it's handles were different than the 110 handles. the 110 looks to me like a real wood product. Anyone have a vantage avid and can compare?

I have both models and you're right, the avid dymondwood seems to contain more resin than the 110 dymondwood.Just a guess but I'd say yes.

Dymondwood can come in just about any color variation they want to make it in.

These RAASCO 1911 grips are Dymondwood "Cocobolo".

I have a Buck Master Series 110 with a green Dymondwood handle. The wood grain is quite noticeable.

Another great picture, Dave. The red scales on the 110 are a great contrast to the brass frame.
