Good Morning You All, Just an update on that antique M-43 on E-Bay that John turned us onto. It is Tuesday at 9:18AM EST there is 8 1/2 hrs left on the bidding and it is up to $183.49. I'm no expert but it looks like this one is going for much more than similar ones I've seen on the web. She looks like a nice one but shes out of my reach, BIG SIGH!

Thanks for update, BB. I never get to ebay (or anywhere else for that matter) so what you tell me is what I know about things.

Yes, against my better judgement I bid on it last night hopng it wouldn't go much higher. Well, its about to go off soon at over $225.00:eek: They left my last bid in the dust!:D

Someone is telling me "buy a HI khukuri, it will cure what ails you!"
but I hear other voices saying "buy a HI khukuri, there is research to be done!"

Who needs a vintage M43 anyway, (do you actually believe I feel that way?) now I can start saving up for an HI M43.

Guy

I couldn't believe it when I saw the final bid on that khuk. Over $300.00! Like I said before, some folks have more money than sense, it seems.

I am awaiting the arrival of the HI M-43. I'm sure it will be a much better value.

You hit the nail on the head Mike, more money than sense. I thought it was bad at $228.00.

I have apparently missed something, is the M43 going to be added to the standard HI line like the WW2, AK, BAS, etc? (Notice the clever avoidence of hard to spell Nepali names?) I hope so, that is a beautiful knife.

Hey Ron, As of now it is a special order. I don't have any idea how many orders Uncle received, but model that Terry made sure seemed to make a huge impression on a lot of people. I ordered one. Uncle will have to answer if it will become a regular.

Sight unseen it is already a good seller. If the kamis do their usual job of sticking close to the model I think it'll be a regular item in the HI lineup.
