I have an E Bruckmann 4 bladed pearl handled pocket knife. Am looking for a source of information on this German brand and possibly obtain information about its value. (I've owned it about 22 years)

Bernard Levine might be able to help you. I think he has a section in the forums somewhere, I don't ever go in there but I hear he is helpful with this kind of thing.

I have several Bruckmanns and can offer the following;

1. They're a well made nice little knife, the most common being the bartenders knife with a corkscew.

2. They were made up until approx 1957 and were a good collector's item

3. Approx 1967, supposedly a warehouse was found filled with Bruckmann's and value plummeted.

I like them, like I said they were well made. If you're holding onto them for profit, I doubt there will ever be much mark-up, so my suggestion is to go ahead and use and enjoy it.

The knife in mint or near mint is worth $300-$400. If you carry it or have carried it you have wasted half or more of the value.

I guess I could be wrong, but I've had 3 of them and couldn't give them away, even on E-Bay. All three of mine are mint, if there is a market for them AG let me know where.
