E-Handle vs. DE-Handle

My Desert Ergo knives fit in my hand very well. Very comfortable. But my BA-E and ZT knives do not fit my hand as well. I don't have a micrometer, but by my ruler I'd say that the BA-E and ZT handles are about 1/8" to 3/16" taller from belly to spine than my DE handles. Is this true for all E-handles?

I was wondering about the same! My desert E fit my hand better than my CG -E stuff!
Does it have something to do with the fact of it's polished handle and spin?
 
If you put the desert ergos over a standard ergo you'll notice that not only did they grind the tang to meet the Micarta for a smooth fit but they also ground it deeper so that the handle was skinnied down a bit. It is most evident at the front of the handle where your thumb and index finger rest.

As far as I'm aware, it's only done by hand so it's a little more labor intensive but it really tricks out the overall feel:cool:
