Bowed to the inevitable and signed up for DSL so we can have out phone back instead of being constantly busy on a dial up connection. Leaving my old addy active for the month of March, and will then be ( something ) @sbcglobal.com.

Who knows, maybe it'll increase the number of khuks I can shark out from under you?

Rusty - I've sent you an invite for GMail...it may be an answer to your situation. :D

Thanks Uwinv, that's exactly what I was gonna do but since you already have.;)

Rusty, the Gmail Will solve your problems!!!! And I for one am sure glad you're changing!!!! I send stuff out on occasion and it seems I almost always get yours rejected.:grumpy: :(

By the way, I have 48 invites left so if anyone wants an invite just email me with your address and it is yours.:D

Thanks, Nasty - they tell me I should have it ( broadband ) hooked up by the 7th. Then I'll try it.

Plan on a trip to pick up my meds in a couple of days first, though.

How do you get 48 invites? You own the company or something?
Bruise my friend the invites are just like LOVE. The more you give away the more you receive.;) :D
I think I started out with six, gave them all away and then got eight IIRC, then suddenly a few days ago I had 50 and I've given two of them away. So far, you want one? ;)

Maybe that's why I only have 3.

Thanks for the offer though. I got a Gmail a few months ago. :)

Has anyone here sent a uber-super-humongous file with G-mail? Say... 700 megs?

I have a load of invites too if anyone wants one (I actually have half a dozen accounts of my own...use them for storing backups of docs that are in passworded zip files).

Not 700 meg Bruise...none of them will let me take movies of them...I mean...not that large...but many in the 70-100 meg size. Works as advertised.

I reckon if one were inclined one could break up Pens original sharpening CD, they could mail it over the span of a coupla days in 100 meg chunks.

Yes, you could. Depending on your ouload speed anyway...

I have about 50 invites as well. Anyone that wants to try gmail, send me a note. It really is the best e-mail service I have ever used. I have both of my offices set up on a gmail account. Sure has made sending color documents and files easier. No more blobby black fax copies:) I have a friend that is an up and coming Christian hip hop artist (yes, Christian rap, but it's actually pretty good and i don't even care for Christian music or rap all that much). He set up a gmail account to handle his fan mail and the like without all the spam and junk that would flood most e-mail boxes. I really like my gmail. Once again, a big shout out to Josh for hooking most of us up:)

Yvsa and I and a few other folks have sbcglobal DSL. You won't be sorry! Keep your line open and the Internet is a whole new experience. I've had mine for 4 years now, and the price has gone DOWN $20 per month.

And it does help with sharking too, that's for sure... At least you know your emails are getting there as fast as possible!
