I just saw a video of the subject knife (metal skull handle.) Lists for $1,000. Is there any kind of investment opportunity for it? I'm not a knife collector but looking for a good reason to buy that knife. Thanks

I can't give you a clear cut yes or no, but can give you some facts. Originals are extremely scarce and command anywhere from $10k-$15k on the open market when they do become available. We only made 350 of these, some of which are staying in the company collection, so these will also be scarce. I anticipate these will go up in value over the next few years as numbers dwindle. The knives, as well as the entire package, is incredible. Even without the historical background I don't think you would be disappointed. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Either way, thanks for stopping in.

Thank you for the info. I'm getting one.

Why didn't you make them with the knuckle bow?

Nuke41, the DVD that came with the knife had a "part 1" in front of the video shown on KA-BAR website. In that "part 1" E.W. Stone, Jr, said his father's personal knife did not have the knuckle bow. That's the knife the limited edition is based on. His father said he could pick up the knife faster without the knuckle bow. Then he would quickly hit his attacker with the skull "skull crusher" (even if only on the helmet) setting up blade use.
