E1E with led head? can this be done?

I read somewhere that you can get an led head for an e1e, is this right? So if you put an led head on ,does this mean you would get hours and hours of run time?

Yes. You need to get a KL1 LED Conversion head. It produces 15 lumens and you can even use depleted CR123's in it that are to weak to power conventional lights.

The older style of KL1s may be what you are looking for. The new generation of KL1s have a lot of throw, not much sidespill, and a pretty short runtime (1 hour regulated I think).

FYI, I run a KL4 on my E1. I've heard not all KL4s will work on just one 123A, but many of them work fine.
