Kinda reminds me of the day I watched a hawk snag a mourning dove out of the air.

BTW, an eagle can lift up to 1/2 of his weight. A bald eagle is about 12 lbs so can lift 6 lbs.Sometimes they don't estimate well. I watched an osprey go completely under to get a fish . I took him four tries to finally get out of the water ,barely, by then he had drifted 200 yds down the river !!!

I got my money on the eagle Damn photo choppers!
I had the pleasure of seeing a hawk?? swoop down and grab a squirrel.It was pretty neat to see.I saw the squirrel running across my neighbors lawn while walking up the road,I thought to my self thats weird whys it so scared??
Then out of nowhere it got snatched up,dropped about 40' then snatched up again.

I watched a bald eagle struggle to get off the water with a trout ~2 feet long on the upper Green River Lake in the Wind River Mountains. He beat the water pretty hard with his wings for a few strokes until he got momentum back.
