We have just a few of these sheaths left and will close them out at $39.95 each plus $5.05 shipping which makes them an even $45.00

I have:

(7) Black and
(4) OD Green

Once they're gone they won't be available again. Check them out at: http://www.americantomahawk.com under the MEDIA section and then give me a call toll-free at 877-557-5200 to place your order.

I'd be worried about the bottom edge on my VN Tac eventually sliceing through that sheath.

Or, if carrying on a LBE belt w/ the handle down, I'd be worried about the snap becomming undone and me dropping my hawk.

I think I'll be looking at a SSS sheath for the hawk. Until then, I'm going to try & figure out a way to attach it to my gear and still allow me to get to it.

Right now my thought is: Well, if I'm gonna need it, better have it out & in the ready, maybe shoved into my belt, pressed against my back - a la "Last of the Mohicans" - until I can get a SSS sheath made.

Any other ideas for carrying?

You won't have to worry about slippage on these babies. The sheath is molded kydex just for the Vietnam tomahawks with 1000 denier Cordura covering. It's a nice tight fit and there's no slippage. I have one on my field grade Vietnam and you'd be hard pressed to jump or move to the point that it falls out.

Gryphon, I do still have a few left. Give me a call and I'll have them shipped right out.

Got the Eagle sheaths(sp)....very tight....I can take it out pretty quick, if I try to put it back other than as slow as I can without taking my pant's off....I guess I'm looking to carve a serious amount of 'love handles' off....but it's a very secure system.....hugs tight to the body and quick to the hand.....

Phil,
I've had some time to play with this sheath for a couple of days now....
These fit real tight....I mean, I have to pry the sides apart just to get the head in....(that doesn't sound right...) but really, these sheaths are almost too tight to use....and after a couple of days, I can get them to fly out of the sheath like in the video, and if you carry it handle down and you sharpen the top edge, well, you'd be surprized.....
