just curious...is there a quality difference betw. the two mfgrs? I am looking at packs and pouches...any info is welcome!

Eagle Industries stuff is made in the USA and is high quality gear. I've got a Tac Vest that I love. The 3 pocket day pack is great for short adventures. The large attache I have, has served me well for almost 5 years and still looks almost new (yes I have used it a lot). The sniper drag bag is a lot of bag for ~$200 and protects a high dollar rifle very well.

Blackhawk makes good gear too but, they are made overseas. Their designs appear to come from other manufacturers. I prefer to spend my money with the originators of the design if it is good quality gear. I know a lot of people are happy with Blackhawk gear so, they are a viable option for most folks.

I agree with Sid wholeheartedly. Eagle's stuff is (in my limited experience) better executed. This doesn't mean the Blackhawk Industries stuff is junk - just "less superior"! :)

I own an Eagle Industries Airborne Pack - Large. And I love it. Superior construction and being made in the USA is a great bonus. If interested in Eagle gear, Lightfighter.com really treated me right. If you decide on Blackhawk gear, you should try to contact Javahed on this board somehow. He's on an SF Team so he is in and out. But he and his wife are Blackhawk dealers, he uses the gear he sells, and is a great guy.
