A guy posted in General about a time Busse had sheaths that were lined with a rubber-like material... Eagle Sheaths?? Sounds like a good idea.
Can anyone chime in?
The nylon sheaths Eagle makes for Strider (or at least, used to make for Strider) have a felt liner, for extra-covert sentry deanimation. A felt-lined sheath wouldn't scratch a coated blade so much as bare kydex does- unless you got a piece of sand wedged in there, of course.
I think anytime you get a piece of debris or sand grit etc. in most sheaths (Kydex, Leather, Nylon) your most likely to get some light abrasions. This is always less noticeable on the knives that are coated and visa versa on the satin. Best way to avoid small scratches is to beat your knives so bad you don't notice them.
