Thought I'd show you a pic of my emergency fire kit, this is in a sealed Altoids tin and has my JK Tin knife attached with ranger bands. This is the kit I take when I'm not planning on making a fire or practicing firemaking. I can't even remember exactly what's in it but I do know that it contains stuff so I can get a fire going even in driving wind and rain.....I tested it all in those conditions before making the kit !

And one with my little Tin knife out......

Hey Pit - how are you liking that knife and the design?

I e-mailed John the other day to tell him I'm not happy !!!

He made such a good job of it that I don't use my other knives anymore and don't even want any new ones in that size range now !!!!!:(

At least Mrs Pit is happy now !!!!!!!!

Have you done a formal review of it? I'm really intersted to hear a good review of it. At first I thought it was a goofy design and wouldn't be very functional. The more I look at it the more I think it can be VERY useful.

Thanks for the pics. As for the knife, to me it is a cross between a keppy and nessie---and looks tough as nails!
