Early 112?

My father has been looking for an early Buck with 440C blade. Today he emailed me saying he found a 3 dot 112. He says that should have a 440C blade. He wanted to know what a fair price should be. So would this in fact have a 440C blade and if so what should he pay for the knife?

Tom,
Yes a 3 dot blade is 440C. Four dots indicate the switch to 425 modified. If the knife is new (or as new), I would think that $35 to $45 would be a very fair price. Anything above that would be a premium and any amount less would be a bargain.
