The leaves aren't quite exploding with color yet, but there are signs of change. Today was a good day for woods walking. Here's a few pics.

I spooked six turkeys in this swampy area, but didn't have the camera ready before they ran off. It's a great spot though, off the trail and free of people.

I don't know mushrooms, but these looked like puffy little round buttons. The slugs seem to like it here.

Somebody left this debris shelter. Is another WS&S member messing around in my woods? :D

Great pics, and that shelter looks pretty nice. You have an emergency shelter ready if you're caught in the rain out there!

Wheres the boattail today
Im wondering if those mushrooms are birdnest fungus still in button stage

The orange knife is a Casexx knife that my gf gave me. I decided to give it some use, since she's been asking if I actually like it or not! :D I do, Case knives are awesome. But yeah, the BHK Boattail has taken over the rotation for the most part.

Never, NEVER let a woman who is willing to buy you a quality knife get the idea that you don't like it...just subtly educate her in knife characteristics that you really like :)

By the way, cool pics. Always good to get in some woods time

Thanks guys! Yeah, she's pretty great. Last year for Christmas she gave me a lifetime mebership to the Case Collector's Club! She knows the deal. :thumbup:I got her a custom kitchen knife by DP Knives .

I found a bunch of those mushrooms today . They look like minature puff balls.Large Puffballs are edible I dont know about the wee ones.

I found two different mushrooms that resembled these.I cut into one and they were all green and gooey inside. Yuck. Then I cut into some that were white and fleshy inside. They smelled good. I think they were puffballs.
