18" 21oz. Not bad, not bad at all. Looking at moparsbob's earlier gave me a serious case of the wants.

EMS on Dui chirra, my heart stopped for a second when I saw this go up and no one had posted for it yet I hope I was fast enough

Well done halfsquelch, I was just sending you an email. Hope you nailed it. You been on the hunt awhile.

These evening DOD's sneak up on a fella, I was kind of slow to react, taken by surprise as it were.

Funny thing is I was sitting on the couch in the living room in the middle of a Spartacus uncut marathon and something told me to get off my ass and go check bladeforums.

Lol fml. Serves me right to have down time at work and watch movies on my phone instead of refreshing the forum every 30 seconds.

Gratz squelchy

I have not gotten the done deal yet, Aunty is most likely in bed so we will not know if a stealth shark ate it till tomorrow.

hehe, i saw it 1 min after she posted. The first time i think i may have seen something first ..but i'm holding out for an m43. Or maybe a sirupati.

So is there a way to be 'auto-notified' of DotDs coming up (or of new threads in general) ..or will i have to really refresh every 30 secs ..or make a email bot? I'm on the hunt now :)

The thrill is in the hunt;)
Alerts and bots are the "canned hunting" of sharking imho;)

You could subscribe to the Himalayan Imports forum and have alerts sent as emails, then change your email alert in your phone to something you recognize, bada bing bada boom.

Congrats on the Dui Chirra... I have one and it is quickly becoming my favorite khuk. 17.5inch 22oz of curved handle perfection. Mine has a little more belly and more of a curved spine. I think yours might have a full polish, mine has a semi polished liquid metal look and feel. Its also the SHARPEST khuk I own. Thamar does great work and pays particular attention to the edge. I shaved all the hairs off my arm with the least amount of efforts. Scary sharp!

here is mine, notice the belly and semi gloss shine. It also has white metal fittings. I love how each piece and individual and custom. My handle seems to have more curvature.

Ha! I did the same thing! Yall were still faster than me tho. They say sharks have a sixth sense! My ampullae of lorenzini's were vibrating. Thats what told me! Maybe sciatica or my cell phone? Hmmm?

I received my Bash Cutter couples of days ago. That's a massive piece of steel. Do not hesitate to go for this one if you have a thing for heavy cutter.

:D Just got the done deal looks like I was fast enough.

Congrats man! You are really going to love it. I got mine a couple weeks ago and its always in my hand. I have it sitting on my coffee table so I can play with it when I get home from work. Mine has white metal and a semi gloss metal finish. Yours is brass so I think you are going to get a full polish. Watch out for that edge, Thamar really knows how to put a hair splitting edge on it. Mine is SERIOUSLY sharp, I wont even run my fingers over the edge to test it. The first time I even touched the edge my finger print ridges came off. Auntie listed it as "scary sharp" and if yours is similar please use caution because it can slice through that sheath like warm butter if not drawn properly. I am sure you know what you are doing but a warning never hurts. Please post pics when you get it.
