The sori on the Katana is beautiful, and it looks like one of the nicest HI Kat's I have seen.

Thanks for the photo of the Lily in full bloom, it is stunning.

Email sent on bonecutter. I've been looking for something like this... my other khuk is just too beautiful for every day chopping.

Please let us know how it performs ... it is the first of this model to be made by Get (changa) Kami to the best of my knowledge. My first Khukuri was a CAK made by him.

Previously this model was to be only made by Sgt Khadka with the exception of a batch made by Murali Kami. I have a 12inch Bonecutter made by Murali and find it very good for kitchen duties. I imagine the one you after would be put to bigger chopping uses.

On the note of beauty, I think the Bonecutter is one of the most ascetically pleasing Khuk's HI has made...

Uh-oh, don't tell me I got another rare one, I'm really just looking for a daily chopper. ;) Just kidding, I'm sure this one will hold up perfectly for my needs.

I agree that the bonecutter is a beautiful design, but my only khuk is an 18" Dragon WWII by Get Bhadur Kami with a dragon engraved on each side of the blade. I'm sure the blade itself would hold up to daily use, but I'm afraid the engraving would eventually start to wear.

I'll review how the Bonecutter performs... and the Dragon WWII as well, since I'll finally have something to compare it to. Thanks for the info on the bonecutters.

I agree with your decision not to use your WWII, it is too beautiful to risk marking!

Looking forward to your impressions and glad I could help background the BC. I would like to get another one if HI make anymore 14inch/20ounce versions.:)

Oh Man, $175 for an everest Katana? How generous is that? If only I had the sharking skills of our learned friends above....
