Here are pictures of one of many knives I have inherited from a long gone serious collector. Can anyone tell me more about this particular Stockman? Such as when it might have been manufactured, value. etc? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hang in there for a bit and a member by the name of 300Bucks will show up and tell you all you need to know about your knife. He is the expert on the slippies.

That is a third model Schrade made(contract) stockman, now known as a 301, made 1967-1971. The value is difficult because it worth what someone is willing to pay for it. They can be had for $50-$75 dollars, the later being on the high side. I love the old Schrade contract stockmans and have several. Nice knife, hold on to it they are in short supply...

Buck Knives contracted with Schrade Cutlery in 1966 to 1971 to produce a stockman pattern known know as the 301. Schrade also produced the 303 or small stockman.

Matt is co-pilot, I was in the back making sure the passengers were comfy(i.e. turkey hunting in KS), will go back to cockpit when the airport is in sight. ch
