I found this old well worn hewing axe & wonder about its age. Yesteryearstools has a lot of good info, it looks a lot like the format for the E.K. root markings. Words that are definitely readable are, first line: "COLLINS & C - the rest is obscured by use", second line: "CASTSTEEL WARRANTED", third line looks like: "USA LE US". Anybody got any ideas on age?
