Hey guys, I just wanted to share a picture of my early father's day gift. It's from my son. Last year's was a yella pen, and now this one. I'm sensing a theme that I can only hope continues. :D

Sorry for the huge picture. I can't seem to figure out how to resize it.

Nice thoughtful gift there, it'll be special each time you use it. I have an old SAK from my wife and a small stockman from my daughter. Use them both every day. They notice too.

Thats a pretty cool knife right there how much hinting did you have do.

Lol, quite a bit. I really like it so far. I've become quite the fan of the peanut pattern, and there is just something very charming yet humble about the simplicity of the yella CV Cases.

Great fathers day gift!!:thumbup::thumbup:

It's impossible to go wrong with a Yella CV case. It would be like screwing up a free lunch!

Especially when it's a peanut. But of course, I'm a wee bit prejudiced.:D

Congrats! I have one just like it, but had to buy my own. The fact that it is from your son makes it even more special. :thumbup:

Very nice! I gave my father a GEC genuine stag 54 big jack about a week ago. He loves it :)

That's a great gift. Congrats!

I've seen a couple already, slip joint gifts received for Father's Day.

What did you get?

If you didn't get one, what are you carrying today?

At my behest, my wife bought me a Queen City 4" stockman with stag scales and 1095 blade steel. I wasn't after the stag, but I am partial to 4" stockmans. I'm also partial to 1095 blade steel and springs that don't test my nail strength.

I haven't the experience to judge the stag, but it feels good and looks good to me. The springs are about like those on a SAK, maybe 4 on a scale of 10, which is just about right for me. The build quality is typical Queen, which is so much better than that of the knives I grew up with. Of course the edges are typical Queen, too. But with 1095, I'll likely be able to fix that soon enough.

My best to the Dad's out there.

Nice knives, guys. I think we'll merge these to keep the topic under one umbrella.

Oh. OK. I didn't want to hijack someone else's thread.

The wife gave me a Case mini copperhead with blue jigged bone scales. This knife is a beauty and a pleasure to carry. You don't even know it's in your pocket till you need it. Lets see some of your fathers day gifts.Travis
