So we have guests coming into town on Sunday so Fathers Day got shifted to today. A couple weeks back I discovered this sub forum and I had been tired of cartridge razors and the slime that their lubricant strips leave on my face that takes forever to rinse off. Not to mention the manufacturers changing systems and upping the cost too often. So stepping back a couple weeks I mentioned to my wife I might go to some garage sales looking for a DE razor to pick up and try. She responded with the razor equivilent of "You'll shoot your eye out kid." so I dropped the subject.

Fast forward a couple weeks and looky at what I received for fathers day...I'm a lucky guy. :D

Wow. That's quite a trove.... just don't shoot your eye out.

You're going to need a bowl, but you can doubtlessly copt one from the kitchen for the time being.
 
Really good start there! Plenty to experiment with, just remember DE razors feel heavier at first compared to the cartridge rip-off.

No more slime, just fresh real fragrances, and, when you develop technique, a much better shave too.
 
Hey! Very nice haul from your family!! As a professional and licensed barber the Dorco blades are my absolute favorite! But everyone has there own preference :D im very jealous at the moment haha
