Got back today from work and vacation and the Early Hunting Knife was waitinfpg for me. John's knack is for the traditional blades. The EH K has all the beauty of of a handmade well crafted tool.

The interesting thing is that when the wife saw it, she wanted it for the kitchen, it reminded her of a green river she uses.
This might be my chance to get her to learn to sharpen or at least to strop. If she wanrs to use my knives she can sharpen them too.
I don't mind keeping them sharp but she uses them till they get dull and then i have a pile of dull knives to get sharp, not with this beauty. It feels good and hefty in the hand and it came nicely sharp.
I can see some tug of using war with the EHK but who can stand up to a woman in love with a knife?
