I've seen a few Bumps shown on this board that have a slightly different blade profile than mine, which seems to have a finer point and a higher primary bevel than most (sorry about the lousy pic):

It's s/n 0068, dated Sept. 03. I purchased it when the Bump was first introduced with EDC in mind, but it ended up staying in its box as it's a bit too large and heavy for my needs. Is it a comparatively 'rare' variation?

Thanks.

Yeah, that is the Ti and ZDP-189 version.(zdp or s30v, i cant remember) but its part of a limited amount with Titanium handles. Nice grab.

That should be S30V. They are nice knives. The blade looks different from mine. Was it purchased new, has it been sent in for repairs, or anything that could have caused a regrind of the blade? Joe

Thanks for the replies.

It's S30V, and hasn't been reworked; it matches Kershaw's early promotional photos. The blade profile and flipper/finger guard were redesigned shortly after the pattern was released. I'd love to know why, as well as how many of the early ones like mine were made.

They changed the blade profile I believe about 500 into the run. I may be wrong on the number. Here's mine it's 1111.

Yeah, my Spec Bump has a much more radical recurve than that Ti. I think the belly is deeper on the G10 Spec Bump.

This is the only picture I have of mine but I think you can still see the difference:
