I have what I believe is the first version of the Busse Mean Street. The knife has not been used or sharpened. This early version came with a sheath that Busse had made by Eagle Industries. I want (( rules violation )) to get an idea of the value. Thanks

You're going to need to post a picture so we can see exactly what you have. How thick is it?

It's about 1/4 inch. Green linen Micarta handles. Black epoxy type finish. Eagle industries sheath that came with the knife. I will post a pic soon as I figure that out. I remember in the little yellow flyer that came with this knife Busse was also offering a non-mettalic knife made of a fiberglass type material. They were also making the steel heart or steel heart 2. I would guess this knife dates to the mid 90's? I'm going to have to get the gold membership and put it in the exchange but at this time I'm just trying to get an idea if this is a desirable knife from the knowledgble people on this forum.

Thanks

I also remember this knife is made of A2 steel. it's Blued between the handles and has non slotted bolts.

Sorry, but it sounds more to me like you are trying to sell it here without buying the gold membership.

I'd say that you should have no problems selling it. A few details that you'll want to find out are... INFI or A2 steel. Smooth bolts or tube fasteners. condition of knife. No need to list this here, but if you decide to sell it, details of the knife and good pix taken of several angles in your listing will help you. :)

I'd be glad to help you if you want to send me a pic... jaxx27 (at) comcast.net. I won't even bug you to part with it, LOL (at least until you go Gold!! :D)

If it is a original MS, it will have black canvas micarta handles (even though it appears to have a green hue to it), hand shaped, with either solid or slotted fasteners, unless it is a newer one with the machined quilted handles, it would then have hollow tube fasteners. A picture or two would help a lot, if you can't post it, you could try sending to someone here to do it for you.
