My Pacific Custom (1980) was made with 154cm stainless treated to 59 Rockwell, handles were milled from solid stock (stainless). Hope this helps you out.

The early catalogs state that the custom blades were made from 154CM drawn to a Rockwell c scale hardness of 58/59, cryogenically quenched and stress releived, but other steels were available; the handles were machined from 303S stainless bar stock..... They remain hard to find and quite expensive because they were very expensive ($225-$500+ over 20 years ago!) when new and waaay ahead of their time as far as materials, heat-treatment, and one of the few knives of its day to have a patent (1981/82). Needless to say they're my favorites!!!!!
