In anticipation of the New York Custom Knife show a couple of weeks ago, i surfed the websites of my favourite knifemakers to see what they would be bringing. I almost passed out when i saw a numbered, limited edtion "old school" Kasper Fighting Folder (my favourite knife of all time) on Crawford's website. I immediately gave my good friend Neil Ostroff (TNK) a call and asked if he could pick one up for me at the show...being the nice guy that he is, Neil even got the exact number that i wanted (coincidentally!)

I think Wes needs a shout out as well. I bet this knife was made by him and not Pat. Wes is getting them done alot faster and doing a good amount of the work these days.

I like the original kasper design and own two of them.

On a side note, I was really impressed with the new way they make their knives. In all my knife years, Crawford knives had good designs but the action on the folders was not so great. Suddenly at the last NY show they all had a brand new feel. The blades opened more easily and snapped into place they way they should. In the past Crawford knives always opened with out any snap. Hope this makes sense.

Something about the mechinism was changed and I think its MUCH better now.

one of my favorite designs, Crawford Kaspers.
Ps. Happy birthday!

I think that the best birthday presents are those that you buy for yourself.
Even-more-so when you are a collector...... :)

The Crawford Kasper's are beautifully designed, no doubt about that too!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

I agree about the ergonomics. These really feel great in the hand. Everyone should have at least one.
