I posted on the hollow-handle thread and it was suggested I post here.

My good friend has run into some financial trouble and is considering selling his knife.
He states it is a #335 of 350 sawback and was made by Chris in his shop (garage?) in South Africa before he moved to the U.S.
He states the knife is in used condition, but held up very well being the tank that it is (A2 tool steel that'll take a hit form a .45 without damage).

'Not looking for a dollar value (unless forum allows it), I'm more interested in whether the provenance has a major influence on the selling value.
I wouldn't want him to lose out by letting it go too cheap, especially as he'll need every penny he can get for it.

If you get a gold membership you can post some pictures and get a good idea of the value, and then post it for sale in the CRK exchange.
To more directly answer your question- yes the knife has more value being an early numbered version.

Thanks Ernie, I was hoping as much.
Not my knife, so I can't post for sale, but I recommended he check the forum out and join so he can make a better decision.
