Earth Brown PM2's - patience or impulse?

I originally planned to swap out brown PM2 scales for a digicam, an aluminum, and keep one stock. I also thought the brown would look great on a black finished PM2.
But I'm getting impatient :foot:

I know they're trickling PM2's out here and there, but ARRRRRRRRRRG...
I also haven't had the best luck on the Exchange in past trade attempts.
My gut is telling me to be patient, as most of my folders are VG10 or S30V. However, keeping these guys "NIB" is making me twitch.

Any advice?

Patients is a virtue. There should be another run out buy June or July, so you will have a better chance by then if you are looking for the brown with S35VN.

make sure you preorder with bladehq or something and pay the entry 5 dollar fee just to keep your foot in the door. thats how i got mine.

Oh, I think I didn't explain well...
I was able to pick up 3 of the brown PM2 Sprints. I'm using one, and want to "mod" the other 2 and also put a pair of brown scales on a black PM2. I'm not having any luck finding regular production PM2's as most are :/

Thanks jroberts, that's how I got 1 of them : D
Pizmugen and blevins, ty as well. I'll stick with my gut and just be... patiently impatient?

And Hairlesstwinkie (lol love the tag) I don't really have any experience in sanding g10. I've watched a few "how-to's" on youtube but what really worries me is making the hardware flush. Woodwork is really the extent of my sanding... and the first thing I learned was that you can't glue back what you've worked off. But you've done some awesome mods!

Keep the 2 others mint. Easier to trade later and they will hold their value much better.

By all means mod the user, but I don't see any advantage with not keeping the others pristine.

The Brown is so nice.
Tan would also be nice.
You'll get one before you know it. Make sure you check the Exchange now and then.

Well, I also think the G10 handles are a bit too fine for my preference. I love the recent pics of aluminum honeycomb handles as well as the "brick and mortar" pattern on your Southard.
I guess instead of JUST style, I want the PM2 to feel just as secure and conforming in my bare hands as it does with gloves on. The Spyder-hole and "ergonomic" compression lock indent make a huge difference. But sweaty palms or very dry skin are more of a problem with this tool. I have folders with similar grit that I can use with sweaty or dry and peeling hands because of unique, or spot on ergonomics (YJ2, Jr., Caly3). But I can't use them with gloves on.

I don't know if this helps but I have the most trouble opening the Sage4 and the Techno. The easiest to open (not counting the PM2) are probably my PPT, Yj2, and Lum Chinese. But the only one I feel comfortable using with gloves, is the PPT.

*I've been a little busy lately and haven't been able to check the Exchange as frequently as in the past. I've decided to hurry up and wait, but thank you for reminding me. I haven't checked in a while :)
