Got my BOB ready :D Becker on my side. Ready to rock and roll baby !!! LOL

All kidding aside - House was a rockin'

They said it hit here to. I didn't feel it but some say that it was really shaking

prepare for TEOTWAWKI, mob rule, pillaging etc...

just kiddin. 5.9 isnt insanely large but its unusual. be wary of aftershocks.

Yeah - waiting for aftershocks.

My computer screens were dancing across my desk ! Unbelievable.
Never been in one before. Started like an 18 wheeler coming down the street, then ... house was literally swaying.

As prepeared as I think I am, it's amazing how unprepared this made me realize I actually am for a real emergency that happens this fast.

Filling more water jugs as we speak.

You know what they say: "if the house is a rockin..."

I felt it pretty good in central NJ, felt weird, got very dizzy, then noticed the walls shaking, looked out window and saw truck shacking pretty good in the driveway.

Felt it here too while I was trying to nap in my chair. Thought my dog was resting up against the chair and had an itch. I told him to stop and then he came walking into the room. Then see the water im my sons water bottle ripple. Kinda weird feeling.

We've had a few here. It's a strange feeling. We have the New Madrid fault fairly close to here.

I just assumed it was World Trade Center construction until everything shook off my office shelves. Then came the sirens and sheeple evacuating into the streets. The traders in the exchange screamed 'KEEP TRADING.'

IIRC, Actually, there is a fault on the east coast that runs through 7 states.

oh, several...

and there are of course, continental shelf settling issues.

house i lived at in WAY upstate NY was on a shift line. basement had a line going across the yard, through the basement, out the other side, through a tree, and a fence. was kind of neat.

We were in DC that day planning to do some sight seeing. Here are the nice people that kept us from the Lincoln Memorial...

Here are the slightly less nice people that beat us back to the Metro. Bummer - we were en route to the last USMC Sunset Parade for the season...

Heck with 'em. We beat feet from the Farragut Metro station to the Iwo Jima monument at Arlington in plenty of time to see the Commandant's Own drum and bugle corps and the Silent Drill Platoon and so forth. Wild day!

I was in Niagra Falls when it hit. Pretty neat experience.
A LOT of people freaked out.
"Are we being attacked?" came up more than once.
