Easiest Folder to Use With Gloves

I would like to know what folders you find easiest to use while wearing gloves.

I vote ZT MUDD I have no problem opening, closing, and re-pocketing this knife while wearing gloves. The handle is nice and big, the thumb stud is large and grippy, and the lock button is easy to manipulate, but not TOO easy, if you follow me. All of that in addition to the fact that the pivot is practically impervious to dust and dirt.

'Bout the only thing I'd change about this knife is I'd get rid of the sharpening notch, because all that thing is good for is catching on stuff you're trying to cut.

What's your recommendation?

Spyderco Military. It was designed to be used with heavy gloves. I've been carrying and using one in S90V and Carbon Fiber for a couple of years now.

The CQC-8 has awesome ergos with gloves and you dont have to worry about opening it, the wave takes care of that:D

When I'm out working on fence I can't use the Military. With softer leather or cloth gloves I have no problem.
But with thicker leather gloves I cannot disengage the lock without fumbling around with it.
So, I just started carrying a fixed blade instead. ;)

I have a military, and it works with thin gloves, but i think the Emerson CQC-12 takes the cake for gloved use. Big thumb disk to open and a big framelock to close...doesn't get much easier.

I wear leather gloves every day, and don't have a problem opening or closing my Buck 110.

Other than a fixed blade, the Hawk lock is by far the easiest to use with gloves on. The 0500 MUDD or its little brother the RAM.

Generally, I don't have a problem using most folders with gloves once I practice a bit. For example, I find it quite easy to use my Cyclone or Blur with gloves, but I could imagine that some people might find it difficult to do so.

Having said that, I never could figure out how to use my SAK with gloves on...

Opinel for me. Mine is loose enough to fall open if it's not locked shut. It started out really tight, then I disassembled it and filed down the pivot area-a little too much it seems.

Otherwise I'd go with the Mili.

I've got a few knives that I feel comfortable opening and closing with gloves on. The ZT 300, Kershaw Offset, Kershaw RAM, Kershaw spec/speed bump, and my griptilian. I would have to say that the stud lock found on the Offset is the easiest to use with gloves on. However anything on my list works just fine with any gloves except big winter gloves.

Both the Kershaw and Hawk MUDD knives are great with gloves ( or at least as great as anything you do with gloves on) . The Gerber/Hinderer knives are also real glove useable - plus non slippy.

I'd have to agree with the ZT 0500 Mudd. I keep mine for when I need a knife while wearing gloves.

Aside from the Mudd, I'd say just about any auto knife.

The Benchmade Axis Lock is my lock-of-choice for gloved use.

It can be readily flicked open and the Axis studs are easy to manipulate to close the knife.

Only got two folding knives right now. Spyderco Tenacious never gives me any problems in gloves till the mitts go on.

Kershaw Needs Work, what a nightmare. The handle is short and the liner lock is nearly impossible to depress in gloves. Too bad too cuz its got a great work blade and opening assist.

The ZT0500 MUDD was the first knife I thought of when I saw the title of this thread.:)
