Easiest way to add Dangle to my Belt Sheath?

Hi everyone, I'm new to having a knife on my belt since I've always just carried pocket folders... and I want to know the easiest way for me to add a dangle option to my Spyderco Bushcraft sheath so it rides a little lower. I went and looked at carabiners, and to get one with the right size opening for the sheath's belt loop would add a whole lot of weight.

Is there an inexpensive solution for sale, or a DIY tutorial you can point this newbie to? I actually like the Spyderco sheath and don't want the expense of replacing it (at least not yet).

Thanks!

A strap is easy. Look at this thread, just skip to the parts regarding the dangler.

when the loop is already stitched you need to use removable hardware. I have a nasty habit of forgetting to throw a D ring on before I stitch so I've switched to the hardware mentioned in the thread. They cost a few times what a D does but they are worth it to me both out of convenience and for the customer. Also, if you're only buying one or two it's no biggie.

Not sure .I make them a lot but don't really sell them alone. Might be able to just toss one your way though. Take me about 5 minutes to make .

Do you have a pic of the sheath? If the loop is 1" you can make it work with the hardware I mentioned. If the loop is wider than 1" you might get away with trimming the loop to fit the hardware. Other than that the sheath would probably need to be torn down entirely in order to fit appropriate sized hardware.

Here's a pic that I grabbed. Sorry, I don't have it in front of me at the moment and can't measure. It's black leather.

I don't want any charity and would happily paypal you a couple bucks for your 5 minutes of work if you feel like throwing me one. :)

That looks like a great candidate for a dangler. A bright Chicago screw would match the rivets nicely. Measure it so I can match it and provide some advice if necessary, then shoot me an email. Let's get you hooked up.
Beautiful work on your website Omega Leather Works
